Get More Out of Life: How Energising Your Body, Mind & Spirit Helps You Handle Work Pressures With More Ease
Women in real estate are some of the strongest, most adaptable, and hardest-working people out there. We juggle clients, listings, negotiations, emotions, expectations—and we do it all while trying to live a full life outside the job.
But here’s the truth no one teaches us:
To get more out of life, you must first give more energy to yourself—your body, mind, and spirit.
Recently, I made a commitment that reminded me of this on a deeper level. I booked and committed to the Kumano Kodo trek in Japan. And it wasn’t just for fitness or the “use it or lose it” motto. It was because when we push pause, challenge ourselves, and create space to recharge, something powerful happens:
Our energy rises.
Our mindset resets.
And life—not just work—begins to flow.
Why ‘Time Out’ Makes You Better at What You Do
In real estate, burnout often hides behind productivity.
We keep going because the next listing, the next month, the next settlement feels urgent.
But stepping away—even for a moment—strengthens every part of who you are.
Your body switches from exhausted to energised.
Your mind shifts from cluttered to clear.
Your spirit reconnects with purpose, confidence, and calm.
And when you feel good, everything you touch becomes easier.
Clarity in the Chaos
When you nourish your energy, challenges stop looking like crises and start looking manageable.
Instead of spiralling into urgency or stress, you begin to observe the situation before reacting.
You pause.
You acknowledge what’s happening for a few seconds—or a minute.
And then you choose:
If I can take action to solve this, I will.
If I can’t, I take a deep breath, accept it, and let it go.
This single shift is life-changing for women in real estate.
You become the calmest person in the room.
You make sharper decisions.
You stop absorbing every problem as if it’s your responsibility to fix the world.
The Ripple Effect
Here’s the beautiful part: when you lift your own energy, everyone around you feels it—your clients, your team, your family, your friends.
Uplifted women uplift the industry.
The Magic of Making Time
The Kumano Kodo trek will stretch me physically, mentally, and spiritually. But even before I take the first step, I can feel what the commitment itself has created: clarity, purpose, and renewed excitement for my life and work.
You don’t need to book a pilgrimage to experience the same shift.
You just need moments—small or big—where you say:
“My energy matters. My wellbeing comes first.”
Because when you energise your body, mind, and spirit, you don’t just handle the pressure of real estate better— you rise above it, with more calm, confidence, and joy.
