You don’t have to be like every other real estate agent to be successful. One of the biggest lessons I learned during more than 20 years in real estate was that trying to fit someone else’s idea of what a successful agent should look or sound like simply doesn’t work. When I arrived in real estate, I was German, had an accent, knew virtually nobody and certainly didn’t fit the traditional mould. Eventually, I realised that being different wasn’t something I needed to overcome. It was part of what made me memorable. I talk about this in my book Confessions of a Woman in Real Estate...

My book, ‘Confessions of a Woman in Real Estate – And How To Do It Your Way’, is part memoir and part entrepreneurial guide. It includes my early adventures growing up in Europe; working internationally; my early time in Australia; and establishing myself as one of Brisbane’s few powerhouse women in real estate.
