South Australia SA – November 2023 Month 10 Temp 25/15 Distance travelled 18,200km
DRIFT / noun… ‘a continuous slow movement from place to place’. ‘Drifting’ perfectly describes our relaxed pace around the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.
The somewhat intense Nullabor journey now behind us we saviour a delightful coffee break in Penong and a photo opportunity at Ceduna’s Jetty.
Followed by a few sunny days in Uber friendly laidback Streaky Bay. Here our camper had a box seat right on the water amongst the Pelicans. Now on South Australia time we gained 2.5 hours of daylight.
Meandering around the spectacular coastline of the Eyre Peninsula we stop at stunningly picturesque Coffin Bay. Showing off a calm bay brimming with the famous Coffin Bay oysters.
We enjoyed relaxing bay walks and finished the days with oysters and wine at HQ. The MUST DO eatery in town where the postcard view is only interrupted by playful dolphins and flapping rays.
At Port Lincoln we explored the National Park and we had it almost to ourselves. Fabulous!
Good practice for the more serious hikes at our next destination the spectacular Flinders Ranges.
