Introducing Jules here in Murray Bridge SA. She is a confident, enthusiastic and quick witted woman who has a huge passion for horses. Though she does love all animals.

I was privileged to cuddle her adorable dog Boofy. He was lucky to be rescued when Jules took him home. She had learned from a farmer that if she doesn’t take him, he will be shot that afternoon.

When Jules was a school girl she received some tough love from her dad. Ivor Morris was a coachman for the lord mayor of Bristol in south west England, as well as a horse trader.

He made Jules trial ride all the horses before he would purchase them. It was not for the faint hearted and a real character builder. In her words ‘I often would hit the deck to the horror of her mum who hated horses’.

Nevertheless it started a life long passion for all things horses, in particular excelling in Polocrosse. A team sport that is a combination between Polo and Lacrosse.

A couple of years ago Jules experienced a life threatening leg injury when falling from a horse. Defiantly Jules affinity with horses will see her back in the saddle in 2024. Wow!

For Jules ‘horses are great levellers’ they don’t discriminate and she would like women of all ages and walks of life to get involved. Mark Rashid’s sentiment resonates with Jules ‘Horses can teach us to be more courageous and confident in ourselves’.

It is no surprise when Jules met her partner Jules (Julian) a reptile expert that she blended right into the Snake Biz. Not just any snakes but the most venomous which reside in their shop: www.snakesaliveandsupplies.com.

Fearless Jules (Julie), who emigrated to Australia in 1978, wants women to take on the world. In particular levelling the still present chauvinistic undercurrents in our society.

She is inspired by Michelle J. Payne OAM who in 2015 won the Melbourne Cup on Prince of Penzance.  Jules affectionately emulates Michelle‘s victory words…

‘I want to say to everyone else, get …bleep.., because they think women are not strong enough but we just beat the World’ … GO GIRLS..
