The Cinderella Story in Reverse!
What if Cinderella didn’t need a prince, a fairy godmother, or a glass slipper? What if she built her own castle, brick by brick, with her own two hands?
For too long, women have been conditioned to wait—to be chosen, to be given permission, to be rescued. But here’s the truth: you don’t need permission to take up space, chase your dreams, or rewrite your own story. The only thing you need is courage.
‘The truth is, no one can be free until everybody is free.’ – Maya Angelou
What Holds Women Back from Courage?
Many believe courage means fearlessness. But courage isn’t the absence of fear—it’s taking action despite fear. And what keeps most women from stepping into their power?
- Fear of Failure – We think failure is the end, but it’s actually where growth begins.
- Fear of Judgment – “What will they think?” But other people’s opinions don’t build your dreams.
- Fear of Uncertainty – We want guarantees, but success isn’t about certainty—it’s about action.
‘Courage is the most important of all the virtues, because without courage you can’t practice any other virtue consistently. You can practice any virtue erratically, but nothing consistently without courage.’ – Maya Angelou
How to Build Courage and Step Into Your Power
If you’re ready to stop waiting and start building your own castle, here’s how:
1. Acknowledge Fear
Fear isn’t the enemy. It’s proof you’re growing. Instead of fighting it, recognize it as a sign that you’re stepping outside your comfort zone.
2. Reframe Failure
Every misstep is feedback, not defeat. Learn from it, adjust, and keep moving forward.
3. Take One Small Brave Step Daily
Courage isn’t built overnight—it’s a muscle you strengthen. Speak up in a meeting. Set a boundary. Say yes to an opportunity. Small actions lead to massive transformation.
4. Find Your Support System
Surround yourself with women who lift you up, challenge you, and remind you of your worth. Your environment matters.
5. Celebrate Small Wins
Every act of courage, no matter how small, builds confidence. Recognize your growth and own your progress.

My Story: From Struggle to Strength
My journey wasn’t a fairy tale. I struggled with undiagnosed ADHD, felt lost in school, and at 14, I ran away from home with absolutely no plan or safety net. But looking back, that was my first act of courage—choosing to take control of my life.
Through hard work, resilience, and a relentless belief in myself, I built a career, moved across the world, and started my own business. It wasn’t easy. I faced domestic violence, I was underestimated in male-dominated industries, and I had to fight for my worth.
But I refused to wait for a seat at someone else’s table—I built my own.
In 2023, I closed my business on a high note and embarked on a two year journey of self-discovery, traveling across Australia and Europe. Not because I was fearless, but because I had learned to trust myself.
