Image a whole week of relaxation in classy palm cove. My fav Nu Nu cafe in the morning for writing, followed by lazy beach time, then fishing of the jetty watching the sun set with a glass of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
Some retail therapy in Port Douglas and enjoying 4 Mile Beach and a cliff walk.
Next up visiting the famous Mossman Gorge. Brimming with massive crystal-clear water from recent record rainfalls and a clear invitation for a skinny dip. Feeling invigorated and ‘alive’ in the cooling waters amongst the ancient boulders and rainforest.
Now at Daintree, serious croc country with ‘Achtung’ warning signs everywhere. We tagged along on a small cruise boat to spot the ‚snappy handbags, but no luck so far. Though our camp site is only meters from the river.
The Daintree is an amazing 135 million old tropical rainforest, stretching for 1200 square kilometres. So spectacular that we’re decided to spend more time here, travelling on to Cape Tripulation, which is part of this heritage UNESCO recognised site.
